You can view the notifications that are generated by the CMC applications.
A red dot appears next to the Notifications (
) icon and the Notifications icon is also red when there are unread notifications. Click the Notifications icon to view the notifications. You can select the CMC application for which you want to view the notifications. In the notifications area, the most recent notifications are displayed at the top. Unread notifications are displayed with bold text. Click Load History to view older notifications.
Click the Settings (
) icon to change the notification settings. You can enable or disable In-App Notifications. When In-App notifications are enabled, new notifications from an app are displayed directly on the page when you are using the app.
You can enter one email address and one phone number to receive each notification when it occurs. You can also select the language for email and text message notifications. You can use the Test Email and Text button to send a test notification to the specified email address and phone number.
For important Enterprise Pool 2.0 notifications, such as CoD code expiration and throttling, email notifications are also sent to the CMC administrators even if they have not subscribed to these email notifications.
Note: Notifications are not enabled at the partition level. This is because the number of partitions is potentially very large, which could result in an excessive number of notifications
To configure the notifications that you want for an app, visit the app's Settings page.
Health Monitoring Service
The Health Monitoring service notifies you about potential issues concerning the connection between the HMC and CMC, or the reporting of performance data for systems being monitored by CMC. A notification appears in the notifications panel, and the service sends you a notification (phone, email) based on your notification panel settings. The service notifies you of the following issues:
- Inactive HMCs. A list of all HMCs that have been inactive for more than 60 minutes.
- Disconnected EP 2.0 systems. The possible disconnected system states that are notified are as follows:
- No connection
- Pending authentication
- Failed authentication
- Version mismatch
- Disconnected (EP 2.0 state)
- EP 2.0 systems with Performance and Capacity Monitoring (PCM) disabled.
- Systems in the inventory that stopped reporting performance data for more than 60 minutes.
