On the Capacity Monitoring > Performance > Resource Groups tab, you can see all the resource groups that are configured on each system. The resource groups table shows details, such as the number of processing units utilized, the total and available cores, the shared processor pools, and the number of partitions in the resource group.
You can search for a specific resource group by typing its name in the Search field.
Notes:
- You can see resource groups and their details only for Power11 systems.
- To see details of the shared processor pools in the resource groups, click the Shared Processor Pools tab.
The Utilized Processing Units column in the resource groups table displays the current usage of the resource group.
To view the performance details of a specific resource group, click the name in the Resource Group Name column in the table.
The Resource Group pane shows detailed information about the resource group. To see the performance details of the system, click the name specified in the System Name field.
The graph shows the core utilization for the resource group for various periods of time. By default, the selected time range in the graph is the current day (last 8 hours). You can select a different time range by:
- Selecting a time range directly from the calendar. You can select a single day by double-clicking the day in the calendar or you can select a range of days by clicking the starting day and ending day in the calendar.
- Selecting a time range by clicking the required button available to the right of the calendar.
- Double-clicking the line or point in the graph to select the time range represented by that single line or point.
- Clicking the graph and dragging the selection box to include the bars in the desired time range.
The dotted blue line in the graph displays the total cores in the resource group, and the teal-colored line shows the core usage of the resource group.
The values shown in the Resource Group Core Usage area are taken from the graph and change when you change the date and time and click Update Table.
The Partition Core Usage tab below the graph lists all the partitions that are part of the resource group. The information displayed in the Current Core Usage (%) and Avg Core Usage (%) columns changes according to the date and time selected when you clicked Update Table. To see details of a particular partition, click the name listed in the Partition Name column. The Partitions tab opens, and the details are displayed on the tab.
The Shared Processor Pool tab below the graph lists all the shared processor pools that are part of the resource group. The table shows the number of partitions and the utilized, available, maximum, and reserved processing units To drill down to the details, click the name specified in the Shared Processor Pool column.
To export the data of the resource groups to the local drive in the form of a worksheet, click Export CSV. If you have filtered the partition data or performed a search for specific information, you can export only the filtered results or the search results by clicking on the Export CSV button.
