A non-admin user with the “All Resources” resource role can access the EP 2.0 application in read-only mode if the EP 2.0 application is enabled for the user.
Important points to remember:
- While adding a new non-admin user, you must assign it the “All Resources” resource role. Only users with the “All Resources” resource role can access EP 2.0.
- The Edit User Resources () icon is disabled for a non-admin user who has access to EP 2.0. To change the resource role of such a user, you must first revoke the EP 2.0 access of this user.
A user who has the “All Resources” resource role but is not an administrator has restricted access across the various tabs of EP 2.0.
On the Inventory tab, this user cannot perform the following actions:
- Create a pool
- Add a system
- Refresh capacity
- Add and remove tags
- Update CoD Codes
- Move systems from one pool to another pool
- Remove systems from the pool
On the Core Usage and Memory Usage tabs, this user cannot add or remove tags from systems and partitions.
On the Budget tab, this user cannot perform the following actions:
- Set or update a monthly budget
- Change the default budget setting
- Purchase credits
- Refresh capacity
This user can see all the events.
On the Usage Statement tab, this user cannot perform the following actions:
- Purchase credits
- Refresh capacity
Important: On all the tabs, this user can export the data by using the Export CSV button.
On the Settings page, this user cannot perform the following actions:
- Delete pool
- Update the pool name
- Update the pool description
- Enable or disable thresholds
- Change threshold values
- Restore threshold defaults
- Change the partition core usage percentage
- Update the email addresses for the usage statement
This user can see all the notifications and add their email address and phone number to receive notifications.
