You can log in to the IBM® Cloud Management Console for Power Systems™ if you have a valid ID that is registered with the portal. The session timeout of the CMC portal is set to 20 minutes. If the web browser is idle for 20 minutes, it will automatically log you out.
If you log in to the portal as an administrator, the main page displays all applications that are enabled for your organization. You can also click the navigation menu icon () in the portal header to view the applications that are enabled for your organization. If you are not an administrator, you can view only the applications that you have permissions to access. These applications display data only for the resources that you have the permission to access.
You can use the Settings page to manage applications and users for your organization. You can modify the settings only if you have the administrator role. To view the Settings page, click the navigation menu icon () in the portal header, and then click the Settings icon (
). You can manage the applications to limit access to specific data within applications. You can also manage users for your organization, and configure access permissions for applications.
When the data in the portal changes, a notification to refresh data is displayed in the portal.
When a new application is available for registration, a notification is displayed in the portal. Click Launch <app_name> to launch the new application. The new application is displayed in the main page of the portal and it is also listed in the navigation menu.
User can add links for PowerVC, PowerHA, PowerSC and PowerSCMFA while configuring CMC for the first time. Multiple links can be added for each application. A unique name must be given for each link.
Links are accessible from the Cloud Management Console (CMC) dashboard. Links can be added or modified from the CMC dashboard. The bottom strip on the cards indicate whether links are configured or not. If the links are configured, the strip is displayed in dark blue color. Otherwise the strip is displayed in grey color.
Links can be edited by clicking on Edit link in the card, only if the user has administrator access. All the fields in the Edit link is mandatory and they are editable. The links can also be accessed from the navigation menu. But the user cannot edit the links from the navigation menu.
