Important Reminder: CMC Update for API Changes

The CMC API Base URL and API Key authentication information changed.

Important: If you have eu-gb or au-syd in your CMC portal URL, the change is now in effect.   Other customers will be updated on August. 26^th 2022 and should prepare now for this change.

As described in CMC Public API, you can use the CMC API to get resource consumption information.  However, the API Gateway Service is being deprecated.   As a result of this service deprecation, you need to specify a new Base URL, client ID, and client secret in your CMC API requests. 

The Base URL format changed from

https://<region>.cmc-powercloud.com/<portal-name>

to

https://<portal-url>/api/public

If you currently use the CMC API, you must change your API requests to use the new Base URL, client ID, and client secret.  If you do not currently use the CMC API, you do not need to make any changes at this time, but you must use the new Base URL, client ID, and client secret in any future CMC API requests.

The Base URL, client ID, and client secret values you must use are displayed on the CMC Settings -> API page.
