The following updates have been made in this release:
- Support is added for Power10 scale-out and midrange systems.
- You can add Power10 scale-out (S1022, S1024) and midrange (E1050) systems to a Power Enterprise Pool 2.0 that has POWER9 systems:
- Power10 scale-out systems are allowed in a pool with POWER9 scale-out systems.
- Power10 midrange systems are allowed in a pool with POWER9 midrange systems.
- New CMC customers who activated after the May 2022 CMC release (v1.17.0) must open the following additional port in your firewalls:
iam.cloud.ibm.com - 443 HTTPS Outbound
This port is missing from the Firewall configuration list on the Cloud Connector Management CMC page in release v1.17.0. This omission has been corrected in this release.
IAM key authentication is used to connect from Cloud Connector to the database. In client environments that use a proxy for connecting from HMC to CMC, enabling the iam.cloud.ibm.com URL may not work due to the client proxy configuration, client proxy capabilities, or both. To fix this issue, raise a support ticket via support.ibm.com to enable API key-based authentication for connecting from Cloud Connector to the database. If API key-based authentication has been enabled as a fix for the client proxy issues, the connectivity to iam.cloud.ibm.com is not required.
- In addition to the in-app notification that is generated if the renewal of a Power Enterprise Pool 2.0 CoD code fails when there are 7 or fewer days remaining in the authorization period, CMC now also sends email and SMS notifications. To receive email and SMS notifications, you must configure them on the Notification Settings page.
