The following updates have been made in this release:
- Email notification for important events
For important Enterprise Pool 2.0 events, such as CoD code expiration and throttling, email notifications are now also sent to CMC administrators even if they have not subscribed to these email notifications. - Email notification of expiring subscriptions
An email notification is now sent to CMC administrators when a CMC subscription is going to expire:- Notification is sent via email at intervals of 30 days, 14 days, 7 days, and 1 day prior to expiration, and on the expiration day if the subscription has not been renewed.
- Notification is also displayed on the CMC UI beginning 14 days prior to the subscription expiration.
- After the subscription has expired, CMC sends email notifications every 10 days if you have not renewed the subscription
- CMC portal access: Announcement
The migration of an internal authentication gateway is planned in April 2023. This gateway authenticates the users who access CMC portal through a web browser.
To determine whether you need to make any changes, test your access to the URL of the new authentication gateway by clicking the following link: https://blueid.powercmc.com.-
- If the web page displays Welcome, no action is needed from you.
- If you are unable to access this URL, you need to change your firewall settings, proxy settings, or both to allow access to the FQDN of this URL.
-
Add the URL of the new authentication gateway to the list of permitted URLs before April 2023. If the firewall or proxy settings in your environment have not been updated for the new URL by April 2023, you might not be able to access your CMC portal. However, this change does not affect the following services:
-
-
- Cloud connector
- CMC APIs
- Data collector
- Enterprise Pools 2.0
No HMC changes are required.
-
- Update firewall to include the IBM Code Engine based CMC portal URL: Reminder
The Cloud Management Console V1.18.0 release in January 2023 included the migration from the IBM Cloud Foundry to the IBM Code Engine application. Because of this migration, your CMC URL will change.
The IBM Cloud Foundry based CMC portal URL has the form https://<customer sub-domain>-powercloud.mybluemix.net or https://<customer sub-domain>-powercloud.<region>.mybluemix.net. The IBM Code Engine based CMC portal URL has the form https://<customer sub-domain>.powercmc.com.
The end date for the use of the IBM Cloud Foundry URL is 31 March 2023.
You must change your firewall settings to allow access to the FQDN of the IBM Code Engine CMC URL shown on the Settings -> Cloud Connector -> Firewall configuration page. For more information about this migration, see CMC Migration Announcement Update.
