IBM has identified a system firmware defect when using CMC (Cloud Management Console) with POWER8/POWER9 systems that can result in the system going into "Incomplete" state requiring a system outage to recover. This issue is fixed in FW860.60/SC860_180_165 , FW910.20/910_122, FW920.20/920_075. Previous notifications have been sent indicating a minimum level however this notification is to provide additional guidance that you should disable cloud connector if your system is at a FW level below the mentioned levels. Failure to take this action can result in the system becoming unmanageable and loss of function including, but not limited to, DLPAR, LPAR activations, and LPM utill the system is recovered disruptively. Please plan to install the minimum required FW levels or higher before enabling or resuming the use of CMC. Cloud connector can be stopped on the HMC and started after the FW levels are updated.
