CMC activation form

The information that you specify in the CMC activation form is used when activating your CMC instance. You will be notified when your CMC instance has been activated via an email to the primary email address that you specify in this form.

Which email address can be used as the primary administrator email address?
CMC sends regular notifications about CMC updates. CMC also sends notifications about important Power Enterprise Pool 2.0 events that need attention. These emails are sent to the email address of the primary administrator. The primary administrator is a user with administrator privileges.
Note: To ensure that the emails from CMC are delivered to your inbox and not to your spam folder, add the CMC support email addresses ([e-mail] and [e-mail]) to your list of contacts.

Which IBM ID can be used as the primary administrator IBM ID?
The primary administrator IBM ID is the ID that will be used to log into CMC the first time. Usually, the primary administrator email address and the primary administrator IBM ID are the same. The primary administrator can add additional CMC users.

What is subdomain name? What are the character requirements for the subdomain name?
To access your CMC instance, you will use a URL in the following format: https://<subdomain name>.powercmc.com.

The subdomain name that you specify in the CMC activation form is used to create the URL.
The subdomain name must start with an alphabetic character and must be followed by alphanumeric characters. You can use a-z, and 0-9. Do not use special characters.

What is the IBM cloud region?
IBM has cloud services at various locations that you can select to host your CMC instance and store your data. Select the location closest to your data center where most of the HMCs that you plan to connect to CMC reside.
Note: You can specify only one IBM cloud region on one CMC activation form.

Which managed Power servers do I specify?
Use this table to specify all the IBM Power Systems which have CMC subscriptions and are planned to be monitored from this CMC instance. For each server include the type, model, serial number, the associated customer number, and the country code. If you run out of space, use additional forms to complete this table. When using additional forms, you must specify the subdomain name on each form along with the additional Power Systems.
